We are looking for volunteers to join our visitation program and also those who will help elderly persons with pets by providing occasional grooming and help with training and household pet management.
We also provide pet care and training mini-seminars of one - two hours for groups of all ages: Scout troops, Youth groups, Home-school groups, etc,
Pat & Karen Cottingham are experienced therapy dog handlers, and are looking to expand the visitation team with volunteers who would like join us with their well-socialized, well-mannered dogs, cats, and birds. We are ready to evaluate your dog and handler team to join us, and we are recruiting experienced cat & bird handlers to develop our expanding pet ambassador program.
Your pets must be current on all legally required vaccinations or titers and must have a recent health certificate from your veterinarian. We may require a background check or references for volunteers that are helping the elderly with their own pets in their places of residence.
